This year we have a really nice selection of events for At Home w/CBI. There are dinners, music, relaxation, desserts, and much more. There is limited room at every event. If you see something you like don’t wait until the last minute because it may sell out. The hosts of each special gathering underwrite the expenses. This allows all the money paid by participants to go directly to supporting CBI. Call the CBI office to make your reservations: 831.624.2015

Chef Christine studied culinary arts and graduated from the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York after changing career paths from working as a professional geologist. She was awarded the Waldorf Astoria Achievement Award upon graduation for her academic standing as the top student in her class. Since that time, she has worked in all aspects of the culinary arts for over 30 years, from luxury resort fine dining, gourmet restaurants, French pastry shops, high end catering to college level teaching at the California Culinary Academy and Cabrillo College. During the last 15 years she has developed and nurtured a discriminating clientele who use her niche services for catering one of a kind special events in the Carmel-Pebble Beach-Carmel Valley area.
Mercy Vineyards represents a pursuit to showcase the innate spirit of Monterey County’s Arroyo Seco AVA as one of the preeminent locales for the cultivation of world-class Burgundian varietals, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Established by vintner Mark Dirickson and Mike Kohne, the wines are sourced from three contiguous vineyards, all located in a specific part of the appellation – The Ancient River Channel. Found along the banks of a now seasonal creek, this unique riverbed corridor features ideal maritime climate with rocky, meager surface soil and hardpan just feet below ground. Low yields, unique soil attributes and meticulous farming combine to produce flavorful and distinct grapes. Grown in such a dramatic setting, the wines truly are at the Mercy of Mother Nature.
